Check citations without leaving Word.
A taskpane that verifies the brief against public court records from inside the document. It reads the selection and never writes it; each check spends one paid credit, exactly like the web flow.
Install (sideload)
- Download the manifest. manifest.xml (stable ID — reinstalls and updates keep working).
- Word Desktop: Insert > My Add-ins > Upload My Add-in > choose the file. Word on the web: Insert > Add-ins > Upload.
- Paste an API key. Keys are issued per account — email [email protected] from the buying account. The key lives in the taskpane only and travels as a Bearer header to our API.
Use
- Verify the selection or paste the brief into the taskpane; results render per citation with the same statuses as the web report.
- Full records live in your account — history, receipts and the Verification Record PDF, not in Word.
Permissions
Least-privilege ReadDocument: the add-in reads what you
select and cannot modify the document. No analytics, no third parties;
the only network calls are to getciteproof.com, plus
Microsoft's own Office.js library that hosts the frame.
