Your business refers buyers, you earn 30% of the attributable one-time revenue they bring -- computed, floored to whole minor units, and paid per currency without conversion. Approval is human, attribution is first-touch and immutable, and the worksheet is always visible on both sides.
Strictly business-to-business. Partners are businesses -- firms, associations, publishers, vendors, consultants. There is no consumer referral track: individual buyer accounts cannot become partners, payouts go to business payout accounts, and every application is reviewed by an operator before any link works.
Who it is for
- Law firms and legal departments whose peers ask what checks their briefs.
- Bar associations and CLE providers serving practicing attorneys.
- Legal publishers and journals read by the people who file.
- Legal-tech vendors and consultants whose clients live in briefs.
Who it is not for
- Individual CiteProof buyers: buying through your own link records nothing -- self-dealing never earns, by design.
- Coupon or cashback accounts farming their own purchases: first touch wins, but your own touch never counts.
- Anyone unwilling to be paid as a business: the payout account you name in settings is where the money goes, and it must be yours to receive it.
How the money works
| Share | 30% of attributable one-time revenue, floored to whole minor units (a fraction of a cent stays with the house, stated here). |
|---|---|
| Acquisition only | Each buyer pays commission once, on their first paid conversion: renewals and repeat purchases never re-attribute. The program pays for buyers you bring, not for subscriptions that renew themselves. |
| Currencies | Each currency totals and pays separately. Amounts are never converted -- inventing an exchange rate would invent money. |
| Attribution | First touch wins and never moves: the buyer bound at signup stays bound. No re-attribution fights between partners. |
| One level | You earn on buyers you bring. There is no downline, no sub-partner override, no multi-level anything. |
How the program runs
- Apply in a minute -- a display name, the owner email, a password. You get a partner ID immediately, but your link stays pending: pending links accept no buyers until an operator approves them.
- Approval opens a 60-day window. Leases renew on performance -- a 5-signup pulse per cycle, not a quota -- and terminate cleanly when they should: the link stops crediting, the login stops, history stays for settlement.
- Name your payout account in settings -- the rail and the destination the operator pays to. Only you and the operator ever see it.
- The operator records every transfer moved with a reference, and you see the same history: paid to date, remaining, and every voided correction, voided visibly rather than deleted.
- Throttle states are honest: paused stops new intake while buyers already bound keep attributing; disabled stops everything; a global freeze can hold every payout at once while the math is checked.
What verification asks for
Have these ready before you apply -- approval needs a verified filing, and a complete first filing is the fastest path through the queue:
- Legal name exactly as registered, plus country and tax ID (EIN, CNPJ, VAT, ABN and others are format-checked on submit).
- Registered street address -- no PO boxes, no virtual offices.
- Your business website domain -- and the owner email must share it. Consumer inboxes never pass.
- The ultimate beneficial owner: full name and title (e.g. Managing Partner), with your attestation that they may bind the business.
- The payout beneficiary -- who the money is paid to. It should read as the legal name; a mismatch flags manual review before any payout.
What this check is and is not: automated shape checks plus human judgment against your filing -- legal name, tax format, domain, beneficiary match. It is not a background investigation and not a credit check. Verification unlocks approval, and approval activates your link: no verified filing, no live link, no exceptions. Rejections always name what to fix, and corrections refile over the rejected filing.
Rules of the room
- Represent CiteProof honestly: checkable claims only, never "proof it's clean", never legal advice. The verification record speaks for itself.
- No spam, no misleading placements, no bidding on the CiteProof name to intercept its own buyers. Conduct is judged by a human with the audit trail beside the numbers.
- One account per business. Farming links through shells ends the lease -- termination keeps the history and ends the crediting, in that order.
Approval is human and links work only once active.
Partner questions, answered directly
- When do I actually get paid? Your worksheet accrues in real time as bound buyers pay. Transfers themselves are recorded by the operator with a reference each -- there is no fixed payout day, and the worksheet is never a promise of a date.
- What happens when a buyer refunds? Refunds void the buyer's credits; your commission is corrected by the operator as a visible adjustment with its reason -- never silently rewritten.
- What counts as a paid conversion? The first completed payment from each buyer bound to your link. Pending links accrue nothing, renewals and repeat purchases never re-attribute, and your own purchases record nothing.
- Do subscriptions pay me? A subscriber's first purchase attributes like any paid conversion; renewals do not re-attribute, ever.
- What about taxes? Your dashboard worksheet plus the payout history are your records -- talk to your accountant about how they are treated where you file.
- What ends the deal? A terminated contract stops the link and the login immediately; history stays for settlement. Terms, posture, and arithmetic you can check: the dated accuracy ledger, unfiltered reviews, and live status page.
